Abstract

In this paper, a practical method is presented to design broadband matching networks via reflection coefficient modeling. In the proposed algorithm, reflection function values (p2) at sample frequencies are optimized to get the desired gain level. At the same time, the corresponding reflection coefficient values (S2) are calculated and modeled. Then matching network topology and element values are obtained via the formed reflection coefficient expression. An example is presented to explain the usage of the new method.
