Abstract

Shopping trips are experiencing a rapid development as a tourist attraction. Travels, which have a significant share among alternative tourism types, are important as daily trips and short-term trips in border regions. The economic impacts of these trips are extremely significant. In particular, the product demanded, the advantages and price advantages of the destination where the travel takes place are important factors. Although these trips include accommodation, most of them are day trips. Shopping trips are effective in the development of small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs) in terms of numbers and product diversity. SMEs are effective in providing new employment opportunities and ensuring economic and social development. In this study, the impact of daily trips for shopping on small and medium-sized businesses will be examined. It is aimed to evaluate the effects of travels to border provinces, especially in recent years, on these businesses. Key Words: Border Province, Shopping Tourism, KOBİ
