Özet

Abstract: In this study, antioxidant, anticholinesterase and antiproliferative effects of ethanol extract of Amanita ceciliae (Berk. & Broome) Bas species were evaluated. Antioxidant activity was determined by total antioxidant capacity (TAS), total oxidant level (TOS) and oxidative stress index (OSI) parameters. TAS, TOS and OSI values of the extract were determined as 3.224 mmol/L, 24.215 µmol/L and 0.752, respectively. Anticholinesterase activity was investigated via inhibitory potential against acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) enzymes and IC50 values were determined as 118.27 and 207.53 µg/mL, respectively. Antiproliferative activity was evaluated using A549 human lung cancer cell line and it was observed that the extract caused a dose-dependent decrease in cell viability. The findings suggest that Amanitaceciliae has moderate antioxidant capacity, weak anticholinesterase and limited antiproliferative activity. These data provide the basis for further studies to understand the biological potential of the mushroom.
